We were advised to find a hotel away from town, maybe in Arlington. But it was expensive wherever we looked. Kathy did a superb job of getting the best bang for the buck. The hotel was 2-1/2 blocks from the train, it had a fantastic view, and it was next to Chinatown and a beer & wine carryout. Still, it was by far the most expensive part of the trip (we drove).
